A Lamp in the Dark?

I decided to add two new labels which would feature Shapes and Silhouettes. These are two easy subjects for the amateur, like myself, to capture.

The lamp and alarm clock are pretty much the things that most of us see first upon waking and our eyes usually take a little time to adjust to any light that might be present.
With these shots, I wanted to show how my eyes see things in that first waking microsecond of a morning, that time when I am usually cursing at the alarm clock.

That looks quite lovely and serene.
I am wakened at 5:30 by the full bore sun making it over the top of the mountain, and exploding in laser bursts between the blinds.

And that's on a cloudy day.... ;)

I would love to experience that, though I would probably hate it long term.

The sun isn't that intense here and since I have a North facing bedroom I am spared a lot of laser beam light in a morning.
